Meet our Operations Team

Here at Acacia, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality workmanship in every repair and service. Our workshop is fully equipped with all the tools needed to handle any machine, and our trained team brings decades of combined experience to every job.

So, let's meet them! (L to R: Mark, Ian, Dale, Nathan, Dave and Nick.)

We have two full-time mechanics, Ian and Nick. Ian predominantly works on some of the larger machines such as ATVs, trailers, tractors and implements. In his spare time, Ian enjoys repairing vehicles and off-roading in one of his (many) Land Rovers. Over the past year he's been rebuilding a 1958 Fordson Dexta tractor which he plans to take to a local tractor run at Christmas.

Nick focuses on two-stroke machinery such as strimmers and hedge cutters, along with larger machinery such as pedestrian mowers. In his spare time, Nick enjoys walking Blaze, his spaniel, who is also our Workshop Manager! He also regularly cycles with friends along the Downs Link (possibly visiting some hostelries along the way!).

Dave is our main driver, handling most of the collections and deliveries for servicing work, as well as deliveries for machinery hire.

Meanwhile, Nathan is our driving engineer. He also carries out deliveries but will often go out to repair our machines on-site when required. Learn more about a day in the life of a driving engineer here.

You can also find them helping out in the workshop, especially over the winter months and the especially busy summer periods. Nathan enjoys spending time with his family, including 4 children and 1 dog, and has recently started cycling the 9 miles into work! Meanwhile, Dave enjoys spending time with the family and going out for dog walks when he’s not completing projects around the house, such as laying a new patio. 

Mark is the newest member of our team, having just celebrated his one-year anniversay with us, and is our Operations Manager. With many years' of experience within the groundcare industry working for some of the biggest landscaping companies around, Mark is now leading our workshop team alongside Managing Director, Dale. When not at work, Mark is a professional DJ hosting parties and DJ nights in various venues in the local area. We're yet to hear of any VIP guests!

Dale is our Managing Director, having previously served as Director since co-founding the company in 2006 following a successful career in the hire industry. Since then he’s been focused on the growth of the company through a fully equipped workshop for service and repair work, creating a large and diverse hire fleet of specialised groundcare machinery and the creation of our retail division, MowersUK. In his spare time, Dale enjoys going out for long walks and spending time with his family.

Blaze is our official company mascot and Workshop Manager, helping to keep the guys on top form. Over the past year, she’s brought out her own range of ‘Blaze Approved Machinery’, highlighting machines that are perfect for specific times of the year. Blaze loves going out for walks with her owner, Nick — which, unfortunately for Nick, often involves her jumping in several muddy puddles.
